Revenue generated by LSLB are paid into a Distribution Trust Fund {The Fund}. By virtue of section 33 Lagos State Lotteries (Amendment) Law 2008, the Fund is applied towards executing good causes projects in Lagos State in the following sectors:

  • Infrastructure
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Social & Health

At LSLB, good causes projects are not just a requirement of the Lotteries Law, it is a responsibility and commitment towards improving the lives of all Stakeholders and Lagosians in general.

In line with this commitment, LSLB has contributed to several good causes projects in Lagos State, including but not limited to the following:



  1. Installation of 37.9 KM 33kv high tension networks from Ajah to Eleko (Light-up Lagos project)
  2. The project for the rehabilitation of the dilapidated 131.5km Eleko/Arapagi/Oriba/Kamija/Odeomi high tension network (Light-up Lagos project)
  3. Installation of street lights from Maryland to Mile 12, illumination of M.K.O and Gani Fawehinmi Parks and connection of these parks to the Alausa Independent power project (Light-up Lagos project)


  1. Construction of a students’ Union arcade at the Lagos State University: LSLB released the sum of N225,000,000.00 (Two Hundred and Twenty-Five Million Naira only) for the construction of a student arcade at the Lagos State University Union. This project is still on-going and is evidence of LSLB’s appreciation for the fact that students require a well-rounded educational experience.
  2. LSLB provided counterpart fund for Y2014 Federal Government Statutory Allocation fund of Universal Basic Education matching grant
  3. LSLB gave a grant to sponsor 1,000 public secondary school students for participation in and attainment of the Duke of Edinburgh Award


  1. Procurement of communication gadgets for Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA)

Social & Health:

  1. Purchase of generators for 22 State General Hospitals
  2. Procurement of mobile x-ray machines and transport ambulances for 26 State healthcare facilities
  3. LSLB funded the procurement of 13 Ford ambulances with fully equipped intensive care unit
  4. Procurement of 16 BMW bikes, 300 Motorbikes and 3 Ford Fusion Titanium vehicles for the State security apparatus
  5. Purchase of 10 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles and 40 Toyota Corolla saloon cars for the State security apparatus
  6. Purchase of over 160 Ford Ranger and Ford Ecosport vehicles for the State Security apparatus
  7. Procurement of 10 high speed boats for Lagos State Command of Marine police
  8. Procurement and supply of electronic surveillance devices for the Lagos State Police command
  9. Procurement of uniforms and equipment for Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps
